My summer got off to a sweet start with the unveiling of the Omega Home Network National Conference, June 24-26, in San Antonio. I was thrilled to produce the conference – three action-packed days of innovative content delivered by world-class speakers.
Howdy Pardners! Have I mentioned that my sister, Susan Bowman, has an incredibly rare 740 acres of Texas ranch land for sale?
Reserve your spot now for the 2019 Omega Home Network National Conference in San Antonio. Set for June 24-26 at the Mariott Rivercenter, it’s sure to sell out! This year, the conference is hosted by my client, ABODE Contemplative Care for the Dying. If you saw my earlier post, you know that ABODE has hired me to produce the conference, and I’m loving every minute of it. The folks who care for those who are dying are among the very best people alive. Their work is important and special, and I’m delighted to help create three days that will honor them.

I was just going to look. I was in no position whatsoever to adopt a dog. I was finishing graduate school and didn’t know where I would be living, what I’d be doing, how much I’d be traveling – and I knew absolutely nothing about dogs.
Among the wonderful people and places I’ve discovered lately in San Antonio, few have touched my heart more than ABODE Contemplative Care for the Dying. This sweet home is located in a beautiful residential neighborhood and staffed by professionals and volunteers who devote their days to those facing the end of their lives.
Don’t Wait, Wait: Read Peter Sagal’s “The Incomplete Book of Running” – Racing Through Life’s Tricky Course
More than 5 million of us could pick his caramel-ly smooth voice from an audio lineup. As the host of NPR’s weekly news quiz show – Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me! – Peter Sagal is well known for that voice and his trademark humor and witty smarts.
Great news for those of us who are passionate about women in leadership and entrepreneurship: The trends are in our favor. That’s according to Cristal Glangchai PhD, author of Venture Girls: Raising Girls to be Tomorrow’s Leaders, and the creator of VentureLab, a San Antonio-based entrepreneurial education nonprofit dedicated to creating the next generation of innovators and changemakers.
I’m thrilled to announce that my client, the fabulous Charmaine McClarie, will join Serena Williams, Brené Brown and Gloria Steinem as a featured presenter at the Watermark Conference for Women, Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.
If I’d conducted the interview with NPR’s Nina Totenberg last Thursday evening at Laurie Auditorium on the lovely campus of Trinity University, you can bet that we’d get right into Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court despite the numerous lies he told (under oath) during his hearing. After all, Nina broke the Clarence Thomas story – surely she’d have plenty to say about history repeating itself.
These days in San Antonio, you can’t help but marvel at all the new businesses and initiatives under way across our amazing city. And you can bet that Trinity University played a key role in the most exciting ones.
Well how fun is this? The lovely Jennifer Blair, founder of Excavive Coaching and Consulting, featured me on her social media the other day.
My longtime business partner and dear friend Nikki May was featured in the September/October issue of Paducah Life, a beautiful magazine that highlights interesting people, places and things in the wonderful western Kentucky town of Paducah.
